Plans for Developments During Spring of 2006

  • Complete outfield fencing on both softball fields
  • Construct the Walking Trail
  • Roll outfields to make them smoother
  • Additional fertilizer for grass

Developments During Spring of 2005

  • Concession Facility Finished
  • All fencing completed on the baseball field
  • All fencing except fot eht outfield completed on both softball fields
  • Baseball field lights were installed
  • 3 phase power was established to support the lights on the fields
  • Hanidcap Parking slots were marked with signs
  • Walkway from parking area to ball fields was asphalted

Developments During Spring of 2004

  • Dugouts constructed
  • Sidewalks poured
  • Electric Service being established
  • Sewer hookups being established
  • Backstops and fencing is going up
  • Grass was fertilized
  • Grounds are being mowed
  • Sand being added to the infields
  • Interior work on the Concession facility is under way
  • Preparations being made for the Opening Day Dedication on May 22nd

Developments During September & October '03

  • Guttering installed on concession building
  • Grounds have been tilled
  • Grass seed and fertilizer sewed and entire grounds coated with straw
  • Infields completed on all three fields
  • Culverts installed across the access road at eastern edge of property line
  • Ditches cut along north side of access road and from road south to property line
  • Trees Planted

The access road and parking area is finished!

A tremendous effort on the part of many volunteers and with funding support from the Village of Woodlawn, this part of the project was completed on August 16th, 2003.

The Village will oil and chat the road in the spring of 2004 and street lights will be installed.
